FRANK: The NFL granted a 1 year extension to DIRECTV, but with the noise cable is making on access to the NFL (working in DISH's favor!), it is unlikely that it will be extended again. So DISH should have the NFL by the fall of 1998. The ironic thing is that the cable industry is helping DISH here, and DISH is actually the biggest threat to cable of any DBS service. The truth is, given the limitations of the physical cable plant, the majority of cable systems just don't have the channel capacity to offer NFL Sunday Ticket even if they could. With that type of competition, DISH should find plenty of sub growth opportunity... Regards, NPD
