Of course Clarke wants this. He is a leftist, and therefore has more concern about protecting his lies than about national security. But his letters and memos were not made under oath, and so they really do not have relevance to a perjury charge. The GOP ought to hammer this point to no end. It doesn't need the actual declassification of Clarke's testimony. It doesn't need to file purjury charges. It only needs what it is getting right now.
