I can't deal with such amorphous stuff al-Zawahri is calling for the overthrow of the Pakistani government. He is AQ's real head, the brains behind 9-11, and apparently alive and well somewhere in Afghanistan or the Pakistani border. This makes me mad, because Bush devoted a small fraction of the money and effort in Afghanistan (and Pakistan) compared to Iraq. Here are some non-amorphous facts: Number of US military in Afghanistan: less than 15,000. Number of US military in Iraq: more than 120,000. Economic aid to Afghanistan: less than $1 billion (and they got no oil either). Economic aid to Iraq: more than $20 billion and counting. US dead in Afghanistan: less than 20. US dead in Iraq: more than 500. There is a Greek saying that fits Bush's conduct of the WOT well: He left the marriage to go gather firewood.
