David, RE: "Don't think for a minute the Palestinians are tired of violence. Or Al Qaeda. They love it. You guys are so naive it is unbelievable. "

I tend to think violence and oppression beget violence. I also think it can negatively influence those whom aren't oppressed but have relatives who are being bombed weekly. It appears to push certain at-risk people over the edge. This doesn't make it right. It's wrong.

Either way, how would you explain Sharon's approach? Using your insect language, do you truly think it is effective to pull one leg off of a spider? Sharon's approach is half-baked: he doesn't try to negotiate, nor does he try to take over the country and rebuild it up to give people hope. Instead, he simply pulls one leg of the spider off, which of course doesn't stop it. If terrorism is like a hydra, it'll just crop right back up, until whatever creates terrorism is addressed and goes away.

Don't you see how his half-baked approach isn't working?

Amy J
