Let's see:
-That it was a partisan attack, that he was best friends with a guy in Kerry's camp.
-That he wasn't in the loop.
-That he was disgruntled because he wasn't promoted.
-That's he's just doing this for the money, to promote his book.
-That his anti-terror plan wasn't comprehensive.

Very little argument with the substance of what he said. For instance, I haven't heard them disclaim that all they did, after 9/11, was implement the Clinton admin anti-terrorist plan. The one that Clarke put on the table well before 9/11.


These are NOT personal attacks. A personal attack would be, "Clarke is rumored to be a drunk" or "Clarke has a long history of womanizing".

The items you listed are highly pertinent facts in light of repeated self-contradiction. It is not a personal attack to call a liar a liar. It is not a personal attack to point out evidence of his bias.

I think you're confused about the meaning of the term "personal attack". Unless you're willing to characterize Clarke's attacks against Bush as "personal".
