LONDON -- Europe-based Future Horizons has spoken against a short-lied recovery and chip market downturn in 2005. The company's March newsletter predicts that under-supply would last well into 2005 and oversupply not arriving until the second half of 2005 or the first half of 2006.

At the same time the account acknowledges that the short-lived recovery is more often touted possibility.

Future Horizons puts forward that the recovering global economy, new end-user products, and returning corporate investment in PC and telecommunications, is driving end equipment growth fueling real demand for ICs, that can sustain the market.
