Uh, that's "physicist", not "physician". Physicians treat malfunctions and injuries to the human body; physicists try to understand the fundamental laws that make everything work.

There are patent applications which the USPO will not consider. A claim to have invented a perpetual motion machine from which limitless energy can be extracted is one of these. There are fundamental physical laws which make such impossible.

Otherwise what you say is right on. In spite of rockie's wishful thinking, no one has demonstrated working cold fusion. If they do and such is verified, the laws od physics will be reworked to incorporate it. But first the demo.
