This needless invasion of Iraq has turned Iraq into an accelerated breeding ground for "emboldened" terrorists and the idea that somehow the US military is going to confine it to Iraq is ludicrous.

Apparently, 300,000 people being massacred, while Iraq was under UN sanctions, was necessary..
And apparently you must think binding UNSC resolutions are "needless".. Because if it hadn't been for the legal pretext of enforcing those resolutions, even more people would have died..
And apparently you think it's "necessary" to permit corrupt totalitarian regimes to continue to stagnate the entire region's economy...
One of the entire reasons these Islamic Fascists are able to gain a foothold is because people like yourself seem to believe we shouldn't attempt to advance modernist and moderate changes in the region..

So maybe you need to contemplate exactly how permitting Saddam to remain in power, despite having invaded and brutalized a neighboring country, made us safer?
The guy was hell-bent on possessing WMDs, despite the fact that he was absolutely forbidden to possess them.
But apparently you think it was merely for the purpose of creating "reasonable doubt" about his possession of such weapons...
I say that he would not have pursued such endeavors, surreptiously under Saddam's direct command, were he not inclined to have a use for them. Because the minute it was discovered he had them, he'd understand that the US would take immediate action against him.
Maybe you could also tell Spain how this invasion has made them and us safer
Tell me how appeasing terrorism and showing national weakness will make them safer.
