The new blue good looks fantastic. I want one, but still have tan. That PVR function is incredible. Unfortunately it is the TiVo killer (or limiter), unless TiVo can enforce its playback patent(s), not exactly sure how many they have but they are suing DISH with one such patent at present.
That is a killer application and will certainly become ubiquitous. The question becomes, how much advertising and t-commerce can GMST monetize? Given the amount that drug companies alone spend, this is a great way, assuming cable can get their 2-way capability going for these ads, to get right in their customers faces, with compelling, opt-in information, without actually bugging the customers. And insuring you get almost everyone in the demographic.
Still, it seems a no-brainer, but still have to still it in the real world.
But love the DVR functionality. Once they start rolling them from Comcast in Atlanta, I'm in.
