Brumar, it was Bush who put out his campaign ad claiming his leadership for the war on terror. All we are doing is trying to find out if his claim is true or not. A democratic process before we cast our vote.

And no matter where we look, we see just the opposite. He ignored the threat before 9/11. After 9/11 he downgraded the war on terror when he turned his attention to Iraq from Afghanistan. Once there in Iraq, he has no plan what to do. And that is what we all Americans are saying.

The political parties have always ra;;ied behind the leadership of a US President in times of crisis. Under attack, with 3000 lives lost, off course we support all that our President says. It is no Kerry flip flop. He went along with the President like the others. People like Kuchinich and Howard Dean did not survive the primaries since they opposed the President's desire to retaliate the terrorist attack. But having seen the President fail to provide the leadership on the war on terror, having seen how he did not go all out to verify the intelligence reports on WMDs and Iraq;s connection to AQ, what else would you expect but a challenge to his leadership claim. 5 more US soldiers died today. Are you aware of that?

Is this the leadership we want? To have those soldiers constantly exposed to the risk of sniper fire, innocent civilian Iraqis who cannot move freely because of street violence, the US economy not producing jobs and jobs being lost overseas. Is this the way to fight a war? We all agree that we have to fight the war on terrorism and fight it so that we win. Not the Bush way? Is it? Which thus far has been just rhetoric and no action.
