I cannot agree that corporations are not working on cold fusion because there is no government funding. Sure, it probably affects the efforts of public sector scientists. But R&D departments of corporations who know they breeze past Microsoft, not to mention all those Saudi princes if they manage to harness fusion? I don't think so.

Mitsubishi in Japan has researching cold fusion for years and has released some very positive results. I'll look them up later today. I wouldn't be surprised if a major U.S. corporation or two is also cladestinely researching cold fusion, the same way the U.S. Navy did and concluded that cold fusion is a real phenomenon that deserves futher study. Go read New Scientist, March 29, 2003, to learn about what the U.S. Navy had to say about cold fusion.

I do notice that a lot of the cold fusion skeptics do not stay current on the latest research

That should not be necessary. The way to silence, and in fact convert, all sceptics is proof. Generate energy through cold fusion. Show it to the masses. Publish your method. Let it be repeated in labs around the world. Watch critics become fans overnight. End of story.

That will happen soon enough. When Mitsubushi and the U.S. Navy are producing positive cold fusion results and publishing them, others won't be far behind. The skeptics will have their definitive proof soon enough. It's already out there for those willing to look for it.
