That says it all.

My original point was, and still is, that lower level combat experience is not a qualifier for the presidency and certainly not a precursor as to how a potential president would perform as our commander in chief.

It is silly and disingenuous for Kerry to make this the centerpiece of his candidacy. He is exceedingly unpopular amongst the active military and that fact will be part of the story during the fall campaign.
