Clarke said the opposite in 2002.
He had to then since he was a WH employee. Now he is under no such obligation and can speak the truth with no fear of employer reprisals.

All in all, things are going about as well as one could hope.
You cannot cut and run and call it a success. At least Kerry has said he will not cut and run and will do more than what Bush has done to work with the other nations of the world to ensure that Iraq succeeds. And he has said that he will let foreign contractors, especially those from France and Germany, to bid on Iraqi rebuilding contracts. Bush has alienated those countries and hence cannot be effective in building a world coalition for rebuilding Iraq. Kerry has no such baggage.

Well, at least I am happy to see that you regard the war on terrorism as necessary.
We love this country. However we do not have to wrap ourselves with the US flag and cry from rooftops about our faith in God by brandishing the bible. We are human beings also and have our head on our shoulders.
