In case you didn't know, there are innumerable bits of legislation which actually render the Constitution worthless and which define the "National interest" in terms of the interests of the politicians. And anyone who violates that "National interest" is an enemy of the state, period, and is thus guilty of treason, sedition, you-name-it, simply for criticizing a politician.

>>>Democracy consists of choosing your dictators, after they've told you what you think it is you want to hear.

Alan Coren

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until a majority of voters discover that they can vote themselves largess out of the public treasury.

Alexander Tytler

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!

Benjamin Franklin

Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard.
