Vans is suffering from sellers, though the selling dried up immensely today. I think they will round out this shakeout then head for the skies.
***"feraldo" boldly dismisses selling and predicts "the skies the limit" (or words close to that) for VANS. VANS closes at 18.63***********************************************
***Then Edward goes to our hero "feraldo" for some support on his purchase of VANS***********************************

I just bought some of this stock. Does anyone agree that it is undervalued (given the growth rate)
***And in his swaggering, macho way, "feraldo" quips....*****

yes undervalued.
***VANS is currently at 12.88**************************
***Later, "feraldo" stuns us with some great insight, followed by a hopeful supposition********

Ted:
This would be a company to buy if indeed there was another good earnings report.
I don't know about the not shipping. Maybe they are so much in demand they can't ship enough. Sounds like those darn beanie babies to me.
***Ted pops back in later to give "feraldo" some info**********

Sorry.... Briefing and Zacks list 18th of March for earnings... obviously this is wrong... if it's on the 25th the suspense is killing me!
Ted
P.S. At $11.5/sh Vans sells at current annual revenues... if they can get their margins up a little the stock will be particularly appealing....
***"feraldo" then replies with a beautiful non-sequiter which shows us the insight into his billiance in stock analysis, and possibly his personal life.******************************

Yes I know. I like Vans a lot cause i am an alternative type person.
***Wow.....amazing isn't it............? Ohh, sorry, back to the saga of our hero "feraldo". VANS is trading at 12.38*************
***Later that month with VANS trading at 11.38 (and down 43% from the threads start, "feraldo" takes a "cautious" approach, obviously trying to fool the market makers into believing that he sold out his position. HA! FOOLISH MARKET MAKERS!!!***

I might be on the cautious side if i were all of you. Anyone have an idea on after hours trading? It will all be determined in the first few minutes tomorrow. I wouldn't buy till they go through 12 or 15 also. But anyway i really like their shoes ( i own a pair) and I like the fact that they sponsor alternative bands.
Well gotta go. Good luck to all.
***Jeeez!!! He owns a pair AND they sponsor alternative bands. Isn't that the criteria Buffet uses?**************************

I have to see VANS at 15 before I buy. It retracing that much of its gain yesterday doesn't make sense.
***"feraldo" not finding sense in the markets. Still trying to "hoodwink" those market makers. VANS at 12.25.************
***J.M. tries to give "feraldo" some common sense advice for a stock that is now trading at 11.13, down from 20.00.***********

this stock bites the big one...was in...loss it broke 10 the other day...that's bad...I see it as going down JM SELL NOW
***But our hero, "feraldo", will have no part of it.*************
To: J. M. (99 ) From: Feraldo Apr 9 1997 11:34PM EST Reply #100 of 202
I wouldn't.
***Three weeks later, VANS closes at 9.63.******************
***Begging their hero, "feraldo", to give then some glimmer of hope, EC cries...........************************************

What is the latest? Is the stock here in the shitter because of outlook alone? Why haven't we seen the normal rebound? Are you guys underwater like me ($15 cost)...I rode this twice last year $11 to $20 both times and now I'm in some deep shit.
Heard anything recently? Has Montgomery dropped coverage, 'cause the only real house I see publishing stuff is H&Q...and even then they're getting no liquidity into the stock...
***"feraldo" replies with his usually courage, now looking at the "Big Picture"................***********************************

Two words:
Bear Market
***That day the Dow was 6962.03. Today it is over 7800.00......ohh, and it dropped 336.00 points last week*********
***Unfortunately, after that, our hero, "feraldo" disappears, his work apparently done. So many questions remain. Why did "feraldo" tout a stock that was hitting a double top? Why did he continue to tout it as it slid into an obvious downtrend? Why did anyone pay attention to "feraldo" since his analysis was based on the type of shoe he owned? Did he in fact buy more when it popped back above 15.00 (only to "pop" back below 15.00 five days later on its way to 11.63 where it is today. Why, in one of the biggest bear markets of our time would "feraldo" pick a stock that was obviously "tanking"? What other stocks is he touting now? And if they are not a shoe company, how will he analyze them? And finally, what kind of name is "feraldo" anyway? These are the questions that will haunt manking for evermore.************
