I'm just putting it out there as food for thought

Yeah, well, you might like to point attention to only (1) proven/demonstrated/REAL stuff, (2) which you understand yourself so as to convince your audience.

so people know that there is information out there about these bizarre Low Energy Nuclear Reaction/transmutation experiments

Anyone who has spent a couple of hours on Google knows for a fact that there are all kinds of information on myriad bizarre "experiments" out there.

You can slice and dice the experiments any way you like

I wouldn't presume to "slice and dice" experiments in subjects I am only a layman. And neither should you. I am just trying to understand what those "Cold Fusion" links you posted are talking about. For example, what on earth is a D2 gas, or the element "D", even? No such thing on the Periodic Table but Mitsubishi scientists made it permeate some stuff??? Come on. Really.

You posted it, and you seem to believe it's for real. Help me understand. What is this "D2"???

The results were reported in a peer-reviewed physics journal in Japan

Which you still have not posted. Sorry but I am not about to take your word for it.

It's not like they're coming from some basement chemist who published his results in the Weekly World News

Well, let's see the said published article first, shall we?

They are claiming transmutation of elements.

I saw no such claim for now. All I saw is some Cold Fusion journal (???) writing a paragraph about it, which also talks about the element "D" (???).
