An article appeared in Crain's Detroit Business (page 40) on August 4, and gives an upbeat assessment of the Vestalloy Tooling System and of Lenox. The broker's crack about "more of a hobby than a company" is followed by the non-attributed statement (seemingly from the same guy) that "an improved management team ... is bringing the company toward profitability." Ken Paneral of KLP Investments (Chicago) says the potential is tremendous.

Crains could get no comment from most tool-and-die makers because they had not heard of the product. One who had said that the process is "a lot more cost-effective, and the lead times are much shorter," but noted "they can't yet make a mold with a texture in it," which is a problem in some applications.

Kurple is quoted as expecting sales to reach $3 million next year.
