Raising of taxes when the nation is at war is and has been a very practical thing. Even Arnold, who rode into Sacramento on the no tax pledge, got a 15 billion bond passed and then discovered to his dismay that these measures wouldn't cut it, he has relented and is now looking at tax increases favorably. Welcome Gov. Arnold. Welcome to the world of reality. Sen. Kerry knew that all along.

It is not a negative for Kerry to have seen the light 10 years before Arnold or even Bush Sr. saw it. The American people, the independents that you refer to so often, are beginning to realize that tax cut is not taking the country in the right direction.
