I just got back from the AACR (Cancer Research) meeting in Orlando. MSD had a huge booth with half a dozen sales/marketing people there. There was no sign of Bioveris at all. The only larger booths were from the Big Pharmas. I didn't see alot of interest in MSD, but then they only need to see a few key people to make it worth while. Novartis set up a latte machine in their booth and had a constant line of 20 people standing there.

MSD had several instruments on display along with disposables. They sell 96/384 well plates with disposable electrodes.

I told the sales rep I used to own IGEN. He said, "you own BIOV now? We are privately owned, we no longer have anything to do with BIOV."

I'm not sure what the BIOV plan is now. The key difference I see between BIOV and MSD is that MSD is selling high throughput machines with multiplexing in each well. I would think this is where BIOV should be heading with their life science lines.
