A story from those who left behind by the economic wonder in China (I read the story from a Chinese forum)

A couple both were unemployed because the state-owned factory they worked for were privatized. The guy had a stroke, could not move, and the wife supported the family by picking through the trash on the street. Their child wanted to eat some meat, the mother could spare only 2 Yuan, but the guy who sold the meat refused to sell because too much trouble. Then another customer came, spent 100 Yuan just to buy some meat for his dog. The woman saw it, and went back home, and the whole family committed suicide.
