Elektra Movie Starts Shooting in Five Weeks Typhoid Mary Will Be the Villain March 30, 2004 According to USA Today, Jennifer Garner is already in training for her starring role in the new Elektra movie, which is currently set to start filming in early May. Rob Bowman will direct the film, which will feature the psychotic Typhoid Mary as its chief villain. Garner told USA Today, "I am getting ready to battle Typhoid Mary." Twentieth Century Fox is hoping that there are a large number of fans who want to see a full-blown, knockdown, drag-out battle between Elektra and Typhoid Mary. Other than Jennifer Garner, no other casting has been revealed yet, but the actress who will play Typhoid Mary and other key casting decisions should be released during the next few weeks. With shooting starting in May, the Elektra movie should be able to make its planned February 18, 2005 release date.
