Hi Steve and David: I checked today and topical is where
the problem is. The birds get infected after they are dead.
In other words, treating the outside solves the problem.
You do hear of some cases prior to processing
where infection happens ie: I believe the beef problem
they had in the UK 6 to 9 months ago. The key is that
for less then 1 cent per bird the majority of problems are solved.
Have a good evening!
PS The testing on chicken for the USDA should be finished
in the next week. When the final OK from the USDA will
come I don't know. Don't forget that the USDA is part
of our government!!
