Craig Barrett's salary remained flat in 2003 at $610,000.

His bonus increased about 50%, from $1.07 million to $1.51 million.

He also was awarded more than double the options from the year before. His option award went from 584,000 to 1.35 million shares.

Forgetting his misguided belief about stock options expensing, if he truly does believe that expensing stock options will prevent his company from awarding him, his rants about competitiveness ring rather hollow. They sound pretty darn self serving.
