Re: I agree on the general hypothesis but can you elaborate here on the specifics?

Current trends to watch include the outrageous wealth transfer from the American taxpayer via DoD to the grasping contractors in Iraq. Those contractors owe not one penny in U.S. tax for the money they make while off-shore. Furthermore, Catherine Austin Fitts of Solari and Assoc.

tells us that there is currently $3.3 Trillion that is not properly accounted for in Department of Death accounts. I find it completely outrageous that the man who cannot account for the money, the Comptroller of DoD, Dov Zakheim is an ordained rabbi and supporter of Greater Israel. And he can't count? Oy Vey!

Off-shore tax havens are not going away. Corporations will continue to use them, as will wealthy individuals, abusing other U.S. citizens. Have we ever gotten to the bottom of the Mahonia scandal involving J.P. Morgan and its illegal loans to Enron? No, of course not.

For an excellent look at how the super-rich have set up the tax code of the U.S. to be a complete swindle of the middle and working class, the classic is David Cay Johnston's "Perfectly Legal".
