MCHX finished up 36% on its first day of trading as a public company. Closed at $8.88 per share up from the IPO price of $6.50. 2,360,000 shares traded. 4,000,000 in the float.

Why does it seem like there is nobody here to notice?

This is one of the most quiet IPO's I have ever witnessed.

Does anybody even have a clue these guys are back in the business? I mean... these guys have a great track record. Do I think they can repeat the success they enjoyed with Go2net...doubt it. Not often does your stock go up over 40 fold from the IPO price in a little over 2 years. But jeez... you would figure more people would have noticed the management team of one of the most successful internet companies is back starting over.

Market Cap is $215 Million
Trailing 2003 sales $27 Million
Projected 2004 sales $42 to $46 Million (my guess)
$32 to $35 Million in Cash / NO DEBT
Book value about $45 to $48 Million

I would have to guess there are plenty of (mainly private) companies out there who would be smart to join the Marchex team.

Hello.... anybody out there??????
