Hi Neocon; Back on September 3, 2003 you wrote:

As for the fatalities, I assumed growth, for the sake of argument, but I believe, in fact, that there will be a decrease in the next 6 months, precisely because of the success of operations rounding up men and materiel from the hold- outs, and because the populace generally hates the influx of foreign terrorists, and will turn them in, rather providing safe haven. #reply-19269148

Well here it is, six months later, and the intervening months, (i.e. 10/03, 11/03, 12/03, 01/04, 02/04, and 03/04) have included only one month less bloody (measured by US military fatalities) than August or September 2003. The latest month was the second bloodiest since Bush declared victory back in May 2003.

As far as non military fatalities, the trend is also against pacification, as is the trend in Iraqi casualties.

In short, the war heated up considerably during the 6 month period that you believed that there would be a decrease.

Anything to say for yourself?

What's your next plan? Keep on marching into the big muddy?
