or so it would seem but in reality, her life was one incredibly long hallucination that bordered sometimes on excitement and most times on boredom peppered with long periods of total unconsciousness lasting sometimes for months or perhaps leaving her sometimes entirely out of the picture for weeks or months while a host of secondary characters are paraded frivolously through the shell of her would-be life making her wonder what it would be like to live as ordinary people do without the aliens and submarines and secret alligator communes and incredible scenes of horrific explosions and destruction and general mayhem as well as all those shadowy strangers and lustful admirers lurking around every corner with shiny and mysterious looking multifunction appliances, trenchcoats and unusual animal relationships not to mention the interminably extra-long super run-on sentences that plague page after page of her life.
