08:47 CCMP Cabot Micro estimate cut below consensus at CIBC (42.13 ) CIBC cuts their 2004 EPS est below consensus, initiates a 2005 est below consensus, and cuts their target to $54 from $70; firm says data storage is still soft, and field checks suggest lower Q1 volume pull for semi consumables (including CMP slurries) on maintenance-related fab shutdowns in Feb; also, mix may also disappoint on soft pull from CMP-intensive MPU customers digesting notebook channel inventories; firm's new 2004 est is $1.86 (consensus $1.98), and their new 2005 est is $2.11 (consensus $2.50). Maintains Sector Perform rating.
