H-Man, re: "So Kerry’s delay would have accomplished nothing, except make it more difficult for the military to proceed."

That's the point. It turns out that France, Germany and all of our allies on the U.N. National Security Council that would not vote for the use of force in Iraq were right. In the time it took to attempt to generate more information through inspections or otherwise, we would have discovered that there was no evidence of wmds. We would have completed the voluntary destruction of the missiles that exceeded the allowable range, we would still have 200 billion to fight terror or use in other ways, 600 young Americans would be in existence, the Arab/Muslim world would not be at a fever pitch of hatred against Americans and the Iraqis would be left with solving their own internal problems; something they could well have done with a "suicide bomb" directed at one of their own and we wouldn't be looking at a "can't lose, can't win" blood and finance draining long-term fiasco in Iraq.

Now what is it again that's absurd about that?
