Oh yeah, this thread is for stock price competition, we all know that Micron makes better computers, right? Well, we also know that Dell is going to beat every other direct marketer in sales for the next million years too, so that's not the question. The question to be answered here is which stock price will appreciate most from today through, say Christmas, or perhaps a year or two from now. I say that
Micron (MUEI, $16-5/16) is easily a better deal right now than Dell (DELL, $82-3/8). Dell will come out with earnings tomorrow, and that will give it either a starting advantage or disadvantage most likely, but I have no fear that Dell's stock will rise more than Micron's over any medium or long term period. |
