OPEC’s desire to force the oil price up is almost certainly linked to the falling dollar.

I concur.

But again, I perceive that one of facet of overthrowing Saddam was to bring the Iraqi oil fields back on line and with increased supply in order to permit the US to permit the dollar to fall to more favorable levels.

And as some would opine, it creates an economic incentive to advance alternative fuel solutions...

Please note that the first new Nuclear plant in decades is being proposed for regulatory approval.

A positive sign.
