One would think that the Iraqi Sunnis would be bending over backwards to make nice with the US. If not the US, who will protect them from the Shia majority? Attack the US, drive us out of Iraq, and the Sunnis are in very big trouble if there is no strong civil government dedicated to freedom and democracy in place when we leave.

Attacking the US at this time is simply not a very smart tactic.
