We were talking about this:

..they have forgotten what an "enemy" is and are in denial about the possibility that they have one.

Some people can read, and be told, and actually hear for themselves, that there are people who hate Americans, Christians and Jews.

Some of those people don't want to believe it.

Some of those people don't want to believe it, but do believe it, because they've just heard it from the horses's mouth, so to speak.

Some of those people don't read, don't see, and don't want to hear those words.

All are "independent thinkers"....some come to the wrong conclusion.
