well duh greg!!! :-) Message 19978642 The question is which in this index are the best plays. Some companies that are trading as nanos are not really nano. For example Nanometrics NANO, it is not a nanotech company, it is something called metrology which is not a new business and is something that KLA and Applied do. Still, nanometrix will likely start a nanotech division within their overall metrology business, and the semi equips are all border nano plays anyway, so in lieu of a direct nano play Merrill is including it in their index. Still I don't think this is the kind of stock I want. I am pretty sure nanx and ngen are really nanos, with nanx being a materials company and ngen being mostly a bio. Tiny is a VC but I don't think its a really quality VC because the big VCs out here are hitting nano in a big way.
