The number of jobs in America increases. It ALWAYS increases. That has held true since WWII. The debate over jobs is a debate over the RATE of job growth, not the loss of jobs.
We will lose jobs in the future, though, if we continue to increase the COST of employment through taxes, regulation, and uncontrolled property theft by barbarian hordes of tort lawyers.
The election of the slimy traitor, John Kerry, would damage job creation significantly. The eight years of Clinton/Rubin already did significant damage to job growth. The following reforms would make America the fastest growing economy in the future:
Elimination of taxes on capital formation, including the fraudulent hidden tax on citizens known as the "corporate income tax".
Legitimate tort reform that drives a vast majority of lawyers OUT of their profession and into the productive sector.
The immediate sunsetting of ALL government regulation, and restoration of regulations ONLY after widely-publicized economic impact statement of those regulations.
The full privatization of the Social Security and Medicare programs, with public aid going only to the means-tested poor.
The outlawing of all public employee unions, and full privatization of education.
The above is not a shopping list. It is ALL coming. The key question is whether we can achieve it quickly with a minimum of pain, or longer-term with a maximum of brutality, pain and poverty... |
