I don't know about press releases, but there was a fairly recent (June 1997 maybe) of I think PC Computing (but it could have been PC Magazine, they're all the same to me) that surveyed owners for reliability, service, etc. Micron desktops and laptops both broke down the least out of about 30 computer manufacturers, and the laptops I believe were ranked #1 in every single category.
