This disrupts the old playbook, and is why I've been saying hedge with short Eurodollars. It will be interesting to see how financials trade now, that's 30% of the S&P and really is most of the economy.

They pushed the envelope on my observation, very interesting.

The employment number: I'm thinking 185,000 might be safe, and marginally credible (like 0.4% PPI). They might be tempted to go for more, but then you might have to raise rates in May. They could say 350,000 and people would believe them, after all they believed 0.1%.

Now they spin the "quarter point" nonsense ad nauseam, and right into an inflationary fire. At some point soon all credibility is lost and you get a panic.
