OT Actually only time I real give attention to short interest is when a stock is thinly traded, float is small and short interest high.. In cases like that, if the company is performing and is not widely followed, any upside surprise or consistent results will create a short squeeze of sort.. Have played that thinking successfully with the likes of VSAT few months ago.. UTSI does not meet those criteria but nevertheless may still be useful.. Fundamentally, UTSI handset business is being discounted.. Thinking is, from a technology point of view as well as margin, the good numbers can't continue hence the big short.. Have no clue whether that will happen or not so I sit on my long position.. FWIW..
