OT .. short interest, Sue, if you go to the below link, Nasdaq updates short interest for each listed security the 15th of each month.

They show the shares short and days to cover. To decipher the percentage of float short, you need to dig and calculate the public float.

I tend to look at short interest in simple supply and demand terms.

If a high percentage of the float is short, there are less shares to short and more shares that may need to be covered.

If you look at NFLX, you can see that from 2/04 - 3/04, the short interest increased roughly 50%. Based on daily volume traded, the days to cover almost tripled.

Normally, I don't use short interest at all but some stocks are an exception.
