What do you think C2?

I think I'm a Republican who'll vote for Bush for a number of reasons, primary among which is the fact that I trust him to do what is necessary to go after AQ. Nothing but nothing takes precedence over hunting down the guys who want to detonate a few nukes or dirty nukes in major cities. Absolute priority no. 1, more important than our resilient economy, taxes, and every single domestic concern, though obviously such concerns cannot be ignored.

So far, the WOT is an unqualified success. Why change the team that's doing such a good job?

Another waffling, centrist Dem, like Clinton, would be a disaster, IMO. Kerry seems like an unprincipled opportunist to me.

I expect domestic terrorism similar to that which occurred in Spain to take place this Fall or late Summer in an attempt to influence the election. I think it would rally the nation behind Bush, but I really can't predict things that well.

I think that in this poisonous political debate, the Dems want to charge the Administration with a standard of perfection that cannot be achieved.

I think we need to stick to our guns in Iraq or be doomed internationally. Rumsfeld made a serious mistake when he used too few troops over the objections of his senior military folks. On the other hand, I don't think anyone expected that the Iraqi army would turn tail like it did. The need for more troops still exists, and I cannot understand why they have not been deployed in order to pacify and secure Iraq in a more effective manner. This is my biggest bone of contention with the Administration, but not one that is going to change my vote.

There is something facile and arrogant about Kerry I cannot stomach. His stance on the Bosnia arms embargo was plainly stupid and full of domestic political considerations that no one under the circumstances could have in good conscience adopted.

Check his history out, you will cringe. And the past is usually prologue.

This writer has a good synopsis. Though I don't agree with it 100%, I think it's good enough.

Debra Saunders did a great number on Kerry's waffling on the latest Iraq Senate vote: I was stupid, so I voted for it, in essence. The "I'm a chump" defense, as Nadine calls it.
