What happens when NATO forces are in Gaza, the Gazans like them no better than they do the Israelis, and Hamas blows up an Israeli bus?

They're doing it anyway. The only difference is that it will be apparent that Hamas is now defying the international community, rather than merely Israeli authority.

I'm more worried about them targeting NATO forces (which they certainly will).

However, that is the price that will have to be paid, IMO, in order to remove the Palestinian problem from the tables of Arab cafes around the region.

And at least it will irrefutably display to the world that Islamic militants are not interested in merely a Palestinian homeland, but in the entire destruction of Israel.

What's the alternative.. Israeli destruction of the PA and decades of continued occupation and conflict?
