according to CIA statistics only 12.4% of the population in the US is above retirement age and 21% below 14. Total population is close to 300 million growing at a 0.92% (or around 2.7 million people) without illegal immigration.

can one average bread earner keep his youngster in college ? or there is a need for both parents to work if each earn around $40,000 a year and have 2 kids (at 0% population growth)
