Alex ...

sorry to have been so long getting back ...

mind is getting weak, as well as my body ... heh heh heh

>>>>Are you printing lot of photos? I am hesitant to refill my own color cartridges, in case the quality will suffer. I do refill the black. How long is safe to keep the ink? Are you buying
just to refill one cartridge a time or in bulk for several uses?

main reason on original purchase of the HP1215 was to print photos ...
but, now,
no, I started out printing a goodly many, but since have found that with the cost of the Kodak paper (or similar quality) that I don't save too much money from culling down to a few I wish to print on high quality paper and going to WalMart or Costco or Eckerds or Walgreens (those I've used)

I use the HP1215 to print out photos (not ones to keep a long time tho) on plain paper so the cost is very cheap, but the longevity/quality is less

if you're refilling the black, there is no reason to not refill the color

the ink refills I get from Carrot have an Xdate of about a year or year and a half it seem ....
so, I normally buy several refills at the same time, so it is kinda in bulk, but not singly at any rate ...

I have a Canon color that prints a bit cheaper per page than the HP1215, but it has lesser quality photos, and I've NOT even tried the high quality/cost paper on it
and
for my black/white prints I use my HPLaser2100

again, please accept my apologies for neglecting to post to you ..
