I actually don't think that the Neocons are gullible (and I don't include doubya, who is not a true neocon but simply a puppet). I think that they KNEW that Chalabi's information was bogus, but used it anyway to sell their case. Just like they knew that the Iraqi "Nuclear Program" was a fake. But it made for a good and scary argument.
