Secretary of State Colin Powell admits he may have presented some faulty evidence about a key Iraqi weapons program to the United Nations.

Powell made the concession during an airborne news conference while en route to Washington from NATO talks in Belgium.

Powell said during his February 2003 UN presentation that two Iraqi trailers had been designed for making biological weapons.

But now, Powell said "it appears not to be the case that it was that solid."

He said he "multi-sourced" the claims --- and if those sources fell apart, the administration needs to know why.

In six months of searches, no biological, chemical or nuclear weapons were found to bolster the administration's central case for going to war: to disarm Saddam of suspected weapons of mass destruction. -AP
