First, if you look at the numbers for university faculty as a whole, they are not as reported here, as we all know. Second, if you start mandating university hiring take account of political views, that route is well beyond dangerous.

When I posted my header for that article, I said, "if this doesn't 'hook' John, nothing will!" :>) Throwing in the Science, Medicine, and Engineering Profs doesn't hide the fact that the Liberal Arts Departments have been totally taken over by the left. That's what under discussion, not the "red herring" of the total Profs. Horowitz just wants some diversity, which does not exist.

I got a kick out of the "professor of Nazi political philosophy" countercharge. What a hoot! You would think the Academics would know better.

Horowitz is a "red baby" who did quite well as a leftist before he saw the light. He is hated in the same way that Whittaker Chambers was. Calling him a "nut" doesn't change the facts of the matter.

In any case, it is fun to watch these Liberal Arts and SS Professors scurrying around trying to counter the fact that they have had a "no Conservatives need apply" hiring sign up for twenty years.
