Greatest spikes in gas prices began as Bush-Cheney were nominated. Clinton was still in power at the time but had no control over the energy markets. The ones in control led by Enron were engineering a massive gouging campaign especially aimed at Democrat stronghold California. The gouging was a worldwide operation though. The Saudis and Kuwaits had to be in collusion. Also all the NG and electricity providers. The Saudis and Kuwaitis owed the Bush family for thre Gulf War, remember. They cooperated. Also fits in with why Bush-Cheney let all the top Bin Laudens and Saudis fly out of the country on 9-11 without being interrogated and why Bush-Cheney refuse to use their clout to bring down prices now. Tit for tat. And all a rigged fixed game. The gouging this year may be just in case Bush is defeated, this will be their last chance to gouge without being investigated and regulated.
