HNP, like any utility company, I presume is in its district a monopolist. You can't shop around for electricity or buy some on the roadside from somebody with electrons on her/his mat.
So we have millions of customers and one supplier. Whether the government is capitalist or communist the situation cries out for control of prices. Even though that may not be the right way to proceed,the majority will have their way. Therefore, long term, other Chinese stocks have to outperform electric utilities.
