Cardiac arrest! UConn survives. One of the better finishes to a horrible game. Basketball is a contact sport. The types of fouls the officials called early on UConn were technically fouls, but stuff you rarely see called in big games. Then, to be fair, the fouls called on Duke (which the officials probably felt obligated to call to be consistent) were in many ways worse. I would much rather have seen Okefor and Williams battling each other the entire game. I'd much rather have seen both teams running the floor.

Frankly, I'm totally shocked that UConn won considering how well Duke played defense. I think Duke made the mistake so many teams do in the waning minutes of games with a lead: they hold the ball and force themselves to take bad last second shots. Meanwhile, they get lulled into a lethargic game trying to run down the shot clock, so when the other team sprints down the court they often get good looks and take threes.
