He makes 50K because he is willing to work 12 hours a day and more from thanksgiving until a week or two after christmas. Do you think this company has everheard about christimas and the spirit of giving. I don't think so.

When should UPS deliver packages? When they need to be delivered, or when it makes for an even workload? Would you prefer that UPS hire part-timers (gasp!) to handle the overtime and lay them off after the rush?

I would like to say the company is not on strike because it wants to be more generous with their pention.

The company is not on strike. The Union is. They're on strike because they need UPS's pension contributions to cover the shortfalls from the other companies in the same pension fund. The Teamsters are screwing their UPS members out of a higher pension to favor the other companies' employees. But, hey, I guess they're all Union Brothers so they must all be happy about it.
